Greetings Brothers and Sisters.
What is truth?
Truth is light, to put it in the context of the bible, that which makes manifest is light, and that is exactly what truth does, it makes manifest the facts of the matter, whatever matter it is.
Ephesians 5:13 (King James Version)
13-But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
We as children of the living God are to live in that light, but how do we know what is true light or man made light?
Thank God by Jesus Christ that He gave us His precious word, in order that we ( the ones looking for him with a sincere heart ) are able to see that light ( under the guidance of the Holy Ghost ), and follow it.
We are not to cease in the pursue of truth, the Lord himself said it would makes us free, this is why it is so important that we check all things against the scriptures.
As we have been warned by the scriptures, many will come in the name of the Lord, trying to tell us “this is the way”, or “this is the real way” etc, but ONLY the scriptures are our only source of truth, in it we can find the truth, through God’s mercy, and therefore we can discern who serves God and who does not, as it is written:
Malachi 3:18 (King James Version)
18-Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
I ask you brother or sister, that you compare scriptures with scriptures always, do not take the word of any man for granted, the scriptures tell us not to trust man, but to rely only on the word of God.
Jeremiah 17:5-8 (King James Version)
5-Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
6-For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
7-Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
8-For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
This is what every one of us ought to be doing, always looking for the truth with a sincere heart, and God will provide the understanding, But we can never let our guard down, as long as we are in this world, keep in mind that the wolves are out there looking to devour you!.
Let us keep the careful study of the word of our God as a first priority, never trusting in man made religions.
